#14- More cathedrals/ Encore des cathédrales
My work of the month.
I was under the impression that my work was not progressing, but when I list my work for the month, I can see that I have not been idle.
I finished 3 large paintings,
I participated in the 30 day challenge proposed by SAQA,
I progressed in the "Architecture" theme of our international group of textile artists "20 Perspectives" …
… and I am in the middle phase of my new cathedral.
I made and quilted this square (below left) last year, but I didn't like it: I found it way too boring!
So I ran it through Procion dye and applied a stencil to it (middle picture). Then I put a border on it (including a piece of lace from one of my grandmother's sheets).... and here is a ready-made cushion on the right, which I hope will make someone happy :)
Next month, I plan to finish it and and make another version of “Architecture”. I have several other projects, I'll talk about them next time. Until then, be well, have a good Christmas and I'll see you soon…
